Meet Dr. Joseph Rosentel

We are also pleased to have Dr. Joseph Rosentel as the new Vice President for Product Development and Supply Chain on the Pet Releaf team. About Dr. Joseph Rosentel


Dr. Joseph K. Rosentel received a Masters of Science, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Florida. Dr. Rosentel has more than 18 years of industry experience in delivering innovative products to the veterinary profession. He has presented at national and international conferences, published peer-reviewed journal articles and is the inventor of three granted patents. Dr. Rosentel served on the boards of directors of the Atlanta Humane Society and the Humane Society in the greater Kansas City area. He is currently vice president of product development and supply chain at Pet Releaf.


We are confident that Dr. Rosentel's expertise in the animal health industry will only help grow our brand further and continue to offer your pets the highest quality, most effective CBD products! To learn more about his animal health experience and opinion on the future of the pet CBD industry, we asked him a few questions below.


What is your professional background?


I am a scientist trained in microbial physiology, veterinary medicine, and infectious diseases. I've worked in the animal health industry since graduating from the University of Florida. I was licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, and currently Michigan.


What inspired you to get involved in animal health?


I was drawn to veterinary medicine because of the tremendous opportunities in private practice, government, and industry. The profession continues to grow as the procedures, therapies, and treatments advances.


Which school did you attend and which degrees / certifications did you achieve?


University of Florida, Bachelor's Degree, Masters Degree, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy. Go Gators!


What's your favorite part about working at Pet Releaf?


Pet Releaf is at the forefront of a blue ocean opportunity in veterinary medicine to change the way veterinarians deal with disease in their patients. Developing the strategy to make the vision come true, generating up-to-date data and working with a wonderful team are my favorite parts of working at Pet Releaf.


What excites you about the CBD pet industry and where do you see it in the next 5 years?


The data that the CBD pet industry will generate over the next 5 years will revolutionize disease management for our pets, which I find very exciting.


What is your favorite Pet Releaf product and why?


My favorite Pet Releaf products are these Liposome hemp oils. I use it twice a day with my dogs and it's super convenient to administer during meals!

Share a little about your pets!


My family has two dogs, Bo and Zoe. Both were rescued from our local humane societies.
